Ashley is a certified acute care nurse practitioner since 2009 and has worked with Columbia Nephrology since 2016. In 2022 she earned a Nephrology nurse practitioner certification. She has a bachelor's degree in Biology from Wofford College. She then went to the University of South Carolina where she earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice. While at the University of South Carolina, she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing. 

 

During her time with Columbia Nephrology Associates , Ashley has been a sub-investigator in several research trials. She enjoys sharing knowledge whether that is with patients or with future nurse practitioners. She is one of our nurse practitioners who teaches classes to our patients and their families about chronic kidney disease and treatment options for kidney failure. She has also served as a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner students. She maintains a membership with the National Kidney Foundation.

 

On a personal note, Ashley is married with 2 children. On many weekends you will find her at the ballfield watching her children play sports. In her down time,  enjoys reading and cooking.
