Allison Carpio

Allison earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina–Aiken in 2010 and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina in Columbia in 2014. She is board-certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ANCC), reflecting her advanced training and expertise in acute care nursing.

Allison brings extensive acute care experience, having previously served as a Hospitalist NP, and worked in the Neuro ICU as well as a Level I Trauma Emergency Room. She rejoined Columbia Nephrology in the spring of 2023, where she continues to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. She is an active member of the National Kidney Foundation and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, demonstrating her commitment to professional development and advancing nephrology practice.

Allison and her husband reside in Lexington, South Carolina, where they enjoy life with their two beloved fur babies. She values family, balance, and well-being, which inform her compassionate approach to patient care.
